What is VBS?
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a fun-filled week where children grow in their faith through games, crafts, music, bible lessons, and more. Each day is centered on God's Word, and children rotate through stations so they can enjoy a variety of activities.
How Can I Help?
Sacred Heart Parish in Oxford is prayerfully exploring offering a Catholic VBS next summer (2026), as a regional program for Southern Chester County, hosted at Sacred Heart in collaboration with Assumption BVM, St. Patrick, and St. Gabriel. But we need your help!
VBS is not just for families with young children, it truly takes a community to bring it to life! Whether you are a parent, teenager, grandparent, someone who loves organizing and decorating, or someone who simply believes in this mission, there is a place for you. Your time, talent, or support (big or small) can make a difference.
Junior volunteers (rising 7th–12th graders) can also earn service hours for the 2026–2027 school year.
Even if you have plans during the week of VBS noted below, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities that can be completed beforehand — from organizing supplies to helping with decorations or preparing crafts and materials. And even if you don’t have children of VBS age or aren’t able to volunteer, we still want your ideas and feedback to help shape a meaningful week.
This survey is not a commitment; we're simply gauging interest from the community. Responses will help us determine whether we can move forward. If we do, formal sign-ups will open in early-February 2026 for both participants and volunteers.
