Welcome to Rainforest Falls – A Catholic VBS Exploration

A Catholic Vacation Bible School (VBS) is coming to Southern Chester County this summer!

Sacred Heart Parish, in collaboration with Assumption BVM, St. Patrick, and St. Gabriel, is hosting a week-long Catholic VBS designed to bring families from across Southern Chester County together for a joyful, Christ-centered adventure.

Our theme, Rainforest Falls, invites children to “Swing Into God’s Wild Wonders” through music, movement, creativity, and community. Every activity helps kids explore the nature of God with color, curiosity, and connection.

This regional event welcomes all ages to serve, learn, and celebrate the Gospel together.

Dates: July 20–24, 2026 (Monday–Friday)
Time: 8:15am–11:30am
Location: Sacred Heart Parish (203 Church Road Oxford, PA 19363) – Parish Center
Cost: $30/child

What is Vacation Bible School?

Faith, fun, and fellowship, all in one week!
Vacation Bible School is a half-day summer camp where children grow in their faith through:

Music and movement
Science and discovery
Works of Mercy
Bible storytelling and drama
Games and Fellowship

It’s joyful, energetic, and deeply rooted in the love of Christ. Whether it’s singing, praying, or playing, VBS plants seeds of faith that last a lifetime.

One memorable Bible Point and one key aspect of Sacred Tradition (called the “Catholic ID”) are reinforced

throughout the stations each day, making these key points easy to remember and apply to real life.

Bible Point, Saint of the Day & Catholic ID

Monday - God is our creator; St. Hildegard of Bigen; Canticle of the Sun (Laudes Creaturarum)
Tuesday - God knows everything; St. Gregory the Great; Book of Wisdom
Wednesday - God is our safe place; St. Patrick; Breastplate of St. Patrick
Thursday - God is love; St. Catherine of Siena; Jesus, The Good Shepherd
Friday - God is forever; St. Thomas Aquinas; Trinity Knot (Triquetra)

Registration:

Registration for Participants: March 1, 2026 – May 31, 2026
Participants: 4 years old by August 1, 2026 (potty trained) through rising 6th graders (completed 5th grade)

**You do not need to be a parishioner, or Catholic to join, so invite a friend and share the VBS fun!**

Whether you’re a parent, teen, retiree, or someone who simply loves sharing faith, VBS needs you.

Registration for Volunteers: February 1, 2026 – May 31, 2026

Junior Volunteers: Rising 7th graders – 17 years old (as of August 1, 2026) - service hours available!

Adult Volunteers: Ages 18+ (as of August 1, 2026)

You can help by:

Volunteering during the week
Assisting with planning and prep
Being part of the décor team
Supporting behind-the-scenes logistics
Offering ideas, prayers, or encouragement
Making a donation to help cover supplies, snacks and décor
Lending fun items to help make the week extra special
