The Sacraments

At the heart of Catholicism, and at the heart of Sacred Heart Parish.

Baptism

Parents:
To begin the preparation for a child's Baptism, please contact the Parish Office at: 610-932-5040 to set up a meeting with Father Shenosky.  

Godparents:
If you are an active Sacred Heart Parishioner, please print and complete our Statement of Faith for Fr. Shenosky's review. 

If you are a parishioner from another Parish, please contact your parish office and request a Certificate of Eligibility signed by your parish priest.  This certificate validates that you are a practicing Catholic in good standing and are qualified to serve as a sponsor / Godparent.

Holy Communion

General Information:
Communion is offered at each Mass or may be brought to a parishioner that is unable to come to church. Please email us at info@sacredheart.us or call 610-932-5040 to make arrangements to receive Communion.

 
First Holy Communion:
All baptized children in 2nd Grade at the start of the 2023/2024 academic year, or those who will be age 7 or older by May 4th, 2024 are welcome to register. 

Confession

Whether you frequent the confessional or you've been away for awhile, you are invited to return and receive reconciliation.

Confirmation Registration:
REGISTRATION FOR 2023 IS NOW CLOSED!

Sponsors:
 In order to confirm your eligibility, the Church will need a Statement of Faith signed by your parish priest and sealed with your parish seal. This document outlines the necessary qualifications of a sponsor to confirm your eligibility. (If you are married, your marriage must be a Catholic marriage i.e. your marriage was officiated/witnessed by a Catholic priest, or was blessed by a Catholic priest.).

Holy Matrimony

Please inform Sacred Heart of your plans at least six months in advance of the date you have chosen for your wedding. If you are not a registered parishioner, please see the electronic Registration under the I'm New to Sacred Heart tab to register. 
 
Please call the parish office (610-932-5040) to arrange a meeting with our Pastor, Reverend Joseph T. Shenosky.  A meeting with our pastor will be necessary in order to open your wedding file and schedule a date.

Anointing of the Sick

General Information:
If a loved one is dealing with a serious illness, please contact the parish office as soon as possible. This sacrament is intended by the Church to be a comfort and strength to people during their illness and is separate from Last Rights.

Please call 610-932-5040 to make arrangements to receive this sacrament.
